Ambient Cave Cowl

This cowl is super quick to knit and is a great stash-buster so would make an ideal last minute gift or if there is a sudden cold blast and you want something to keep your neck warm.
It is knitted back and forth and not in the round but could be easily converted to ‘in the round’ if you wish. The cowl can be buttoned (like the blue one) to fasten at the front or you can use pop studs or magnetic studs to fasten the cowl at the back if you choose (like the grey version).
I have aimed the pattern for a beginner so it is fully charted and written with all abbreviations explained. I also hope that more experienced knitters find it something to enjoy. And it really is quick - between 1.5 and 3 hours from start to finish
The size is dependant on the needle size you use - I found that after a few washes the blue cowl cowls stretched a little so consider dropping a needle size if you are a loose knitter or if your chosen yarn is soft or lofty.
The grey cowl was knitted using chunky yarn held double and produced a slightly denser fabric and was slightly larger.
The pattern has been test knitted
